Ogun based transporter and top NURTW leader Alhaji Comrade Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa has been emerged the winner of the just concluded NURTW National election.
With his victory, Baruwa emerged as the only candidate among others in South West of Nigeria, where the opposition Tsunami consumed the aspiration of other candidates, including the outgoing Chairman Lagos state eventually emerged as the vice president of the union
At the election which was conducted free and fare, Baruwa polled all votes while Alhaji Comrade Agbede Tajudeen clinched Vice seat and ogun outgoing Chairman Akeem Adeosun (Jango) Became Trustee
Baruwa was declared elected by the returning officer who conducted the election alongside with the former President Alhaji Comrade Usman Yasin.
Baruwa, in his remark he thanked the former president of the union Alhaji Usman Yasin for his remarkable role and outstanding achievements in the union and also his leadership style is worthy to emulate.
While speaking with the media he made promise to change faces of the union and assured the federal government his total cooperations with workforce to generate viable revenue for the federal government through NURTW collective efforts.
The election was witness by NLC, Ministry of Transportation officials, members of the union were mannerly ordered composed, he made it known that his administration as the NURTW president will brings peace within the union through out his tenor.
Baruwa also revailed part of his agenda to make transportation easier within the Nigeria garages which will reduce kidnapping that has eluded Nigeria society, also to sanitize and upgrade the union to the modern one.
Alhaji Usman Yasin in his speech thanked the Union for their support in making his tenor a fruitful terms, he also pleaded for mutual understanding between the newly Ogun national executives and the states exco in other for the union to achieve more progress.
