A social political group, Yoruba Liberation Movement in a recent statement by its president Prince Olubisi Ogunrinde also known as Bisi Omoolubadan said the group felicitates with its director of communication and vibrant journalist Laide Gold as she plan to unveil a Culture'and Tourism Magazine.
Almost two years after stepping down as the editor of an indigenous language newspaper, based in Lagos, the respected broadcaster is set to hit the media space with a bang as she unveils another publication, Global Quest Magazine.
Laide Gold will on Sunday, August 22 start a new journey with the launch of her magazine, Global Quest, in Lagos. The Magazine will be unveiled at a colourful ceremony to be headlined by some of the movers and shakers in our society.
The cultural enthusiast started as a dance and theatre group named Oduduwa Quest Troupe in 2005. Her mission was to tour around the Oduduwa kingdoms; searching for Oduduwa descendants and the story that surrounds them.
Then, the idea of the print came, but suffered delay due to funding, before it finally kicked off as Oduduwa Quest Magazine. The magazine moved a step further in January 2021 and it was able to cover 70% of Western States.
Due to expansion, the need to change the name to go beyond the walls of Africa came, then; "Global Quest Magazine", to cover tourism, Culture, Entertainment, Society, and Lifestyle.
Foremost Industrialist and chairman of Finecoats Paints, Dr. Aderemi Awode, and the Executive Chairman of Ojuwoye-Odi-Olowo LCDA, Hon. Olushola Ajala Rasak will be headlining the occasion.
In a press statement made available to newsmen; Mr. Taofeek Afolabi, the Publicity Secretary of the Guild of Yoruba Editors, said other prominent people are expected at the event coming up within the premises of Ojuwoye-Odi-Olowo LCDA in Ilupeju, Lagos.
