Segun Akanni Ogungbe is a highly respected Nigerian actor, filmmaker, director, producer, and scriptwriter renowned for his immense contributions to the indigenous Yoruba segment of Nollywood. Born on March 28, 1970, in Ibadan and originally from Abeokuta, Segun Ogungbe hails from the legendary Ogungbe theatrical lineage. He is the nephew of Christopher Akintola Ogungbe, popularly known as Akin Ogungbe, one of the foremost pioneers of traditional Yoruba theatre and cinema in Nigeria.
