MEET THE QUEEN OF SPORTS AND QUINTESSENTIAL SPORT JOURNALIST OF NOTE AND THE RECIPIENT OF ICONIC ACE AWARDS 2026

Aisha Falode is a prominent Nigerian sports journalist, broadcaster, and football administrator who has significantly shaped the landscape of women's sports in Africa. She is currently a member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee and has held high-level positions within both CAF and FIFA. 

She served as the Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) from 2017 to 2022, where she is credited with professionalising the league and increasing its global visibility.

In 2025, she was appointed to the FIFA Media and Communications Committee, making her one of the few African women in global football governance. She was also the first female member of the CAF Media and Communications Committee.

Broadcasting: She is an "ace journalist," she became a household name through her work with African Independent Television (AIT) and the Nigeria Telecommunications Limited (NITEL).

She was appointed as the Special Advisor on Communications for the Niger Delta Sports Festival in early 2025.
